HOW TO USE THE KINDNESS CALENDAR.........
There are two categories presented, First- see bottom left - are EVENTS. Second, are Activities.
The difference:
Events: Are focused, interactive efforts to include all parts of the Community and truly make Hallandale Beach Kindness Country.
- Schools,Students, Educators, Community Partnership School(CPS), and the Community Leadership Council.
- Police Athletic League of Hallandale Beach(PAL) , Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Center and the Hallandale Beach Police Department.
- Appropriate 501C's and Service Organizations.
- The Business Community... The Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
- Religious entities- Churches, Mosques and Synagogues.
- Local residents and nearby communities
There are three such events for the coming year(2025/6)

1. KINDNESS DAY IN HALLANDALE BEACH...
November 13th, 2025, but continues through the week-end.

Beginning in October with Kindness Bingo.
Participants will receive a Kindness Card with opportunities to earn recognition on November 13th..
The week beginning November 10th is designated Anti-Bullying week by the Broward School Board. Our theme is
"KINDNESS IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR BULLYING".
There will be many age appropriate activities. Some of the subjects for discussion and essays:
- -Aesop said "No act of Kindness, no matter how small is wasted"
- -Is it better to give than receive?"
- -I AM THE I IN KIND"
- -Imagine it's You and Do Something"
- -Recall an act of Kindness done for you.
Also expression through art, music and role playing. Activities involving the whole community for November 15th. The theme "HALLANDALE BEACH IS KINDNESS COUNTRY".

Beginning January 19th, consistent with the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be a week of Kindness and Service to the Community. The theme for the national holiday will be
"A DAY ON, NOT A DAY OFF".

In March - SUPER HEROES WEEK is for recognition and appreciation of the Super Heroes among us. Could be vets, first responders, teachers, maybe a family member, neighbor or stranger. As much as showing proper respect, will be the opportunity for all of us,especially kids to learn real heroes are not in video games and film- The themes for the week-
"SUPER HEROES WALK AMONG US"
and "ORDINARY PEOPLE
CAN DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS"
Activities are optional but offer real opportunities. It may be in a classroom, The MLK, Jr. Dream Center or in public space, Maybe some adults want read a book to students or a company may see a way of interacting with our kids.
